Monday Night Raw Quick Recap for Sept. 26, 2022

 

Matches Tonight: Seven (approx. 95 minutes)
  • Singles Match: Bianca Belair vs Iyo Sky. Solid, long match that saw Belair win. 8:10-8:28pm EST.
  • Singles Match: Rey Mysterio vs Seth Rollins. Another solid, long match that saw Rollins win with the Peruvian Necktie submission. 8:45-9:06pm EST.
  • Tag Team Match: Kevin Owens & Johnny Gargano vs the Alpha Academy. Gargano & KO picked up the win in an exciting match. 9:18-9:31pm EST.
  • 2-on-1 Handicapped Squash Match: Omos w/ MVP vs Two Local Talent. It wasn’t Omos who got squashed…. 9:40-9:41pm EST.
  • Singles Debut Match: Candace LeRae(d) vs Nikki A.S.H. Candace picked up the win in her debut. 9:51-9:53pm EST.
  • Singles Match: AJ Styles vs Sami Zayn. Zayn won the lengthy match after a little help from Solo Sikoa. Post match, the Judgment Day beat the crap out of Styles when he once again refused to join them. 10:05-10:25pm EST.
  • Singles Main Event Match: Matt Riddle vs Damian Priest. Another solid, long match that saw Riddle pick up the win. After the match, Edge made the save when the Judgment Day ganged up on Riddle. Edge challenged Finn to an ‘I Quit’ match at Extreme Rules. 10:38-10:58pm EST.
Miscellaneous Non-Match Segments of Note:
  • Rollins Speaks: Rollins hyped his match against Riddle at Extreme Rules, and will face Riddle in a Fight Pit (match, presumably). 8:39-8:44pm EST.
  • The Judgment Day/AJ Styles: Following Styles’ loss to Zayn with the help of Solo Sikoa, Finn again attempted to recruit Styles. Styles flipped off Finn, leading to a four-on-one beatdown. 10:26-10:30
  • Return/Debut(s): Candace LeRae, wife of Johnny Gargano, made her Raw and main roster in-ring debut, defeating Nikki A.S.H.
  • The Miz/Lumis Drama: The Miz hired an “elite security team” for the night; Lumis put them all to sleep off-camera and then put the Miz to sleep on-camera. The drama continues next week.
  • Next Week on Raw: Candace LeRae vs a member of Damage CTRL. Chad Gable vs Braun Strowman. Otis vs Johnny Gargano.
