Mr. Brodie Lee was among a number of guests featured on the special episode of the AEW Unrestricted podcast to promote the AEW Dynamite One-Year Anniversary Special on Wednesday night.

The official AEW podcast dropped earlier this week and also featured interviews with AEW Women's World Champion Hikaru Shida, AEW World Tag-Team Champions FTR and AEW World Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley.

During his interview on the show, "The Exalted One" of the Dark Order spoke to AEW Unrestricted host Tony Schiavone about how winning the TNT Championship from "The American Nightmare" Cody on AEW Dynamite was not originally planned.

Featured below are some of the highlights from the new interview with Mr. Brodie Lee from the AEW Unrestricted podcast.

On winning the TNT Title not being part of AEW's original plans: “I believe that the original plan was for me to not become TNT Champion. I’m kind of not privy to the ins and outs, the nuts and bolts of it all, probably because I don’t want to be. Because if I get a thought in my head, I become quickly married to it, and then if something changes, I go insane. So, I try not to know too much about what’s supposed to happen and kind of just live in the moment.”

On his preference to not have too much information ahead of time: “I learned my lessons the hard way over many, many years. So, I try to stay pretty level-headed, and not get too much information, and take things on as they are presented to me, and the match itself was presented to me a week or two before it even happened. So, I just kind of wanted to train, look the part, and then do whatever was asked of me.”
