Following his surprise return in the 2020 WWE Royal Rumble match and follow-up singles match on WWE Monday Night RAW, Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP) has competed inside the squared circle for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
After his loss to Rey Mysterio on Monday night’s edition of WWE RAW, MVP took to social media to announce that it was his final match in WWE.
“One for the history books,” wrote MVP via his official Instagram page. “My FINAL WWE match took place on Monday Night RAW against my close friend and legend Rey Mysterio. A great way to close out that chapter.”
He continued, explaining that while Monday’s RAW loss to Mysterio might have been his final match in a WWE ring, MVP is “not finished just yet,” but pointed out that he will be “soon … very soon.”
“The end of my career looms larger every month,” he wrote. “It’s been one HELL of a ride! I’m not finished just yet. But soon. Very soon.”
He concluded, “Thank you WWE and the WWE Universe for all the love!!! What an amazing week I’ve had.”
