— WWE is holding their Hall of Fame ceremony for 2023 in three weeks following the Smackdown before WrestleMania 39 yet no names have yet been announced. The WrestleVotes account reports that the company’s plan is to begin announcing names beginning today and pwinsider.com is adding that the first name is expected to be revealed tonight on Friday Night Smackdown and it will be Keiji Muto aka The Great Muta.
— While he is one of the greatest Japanese wrestlers of all-time, Muta never actually wrestled for WWE, he was worked for WCW in the late 90s and made multiple appearances for them over the year. The report adds that WWE is still in the process of locking down all the other Hall of Famers.
The plan as of Monday was to begin announcing this years Hall of Fame induction class today. The annual HOF ceremony is 3 weeks from tonight in Los Angeles following SmackDown.
