At the NXT U.K. TakeOver: Blackpool special on Saturday afternoon, a new NXT U.K. Women’s Champion was crowned.
Mae Young Classic 2018 tournament winner Toni Storm pulled off the upset in the co-main event of the evening at the first-ever NXT U.K. TakeOver live special on the WWE Network, defeating Rhea Ripley to capture the NXT U.K. Women’s Championship.
The match saw Ripley dominate a lot of the action and focus on the previously injured back of Storm, with Storm having her moments, leading to the finish, which saw Storm hit her Storm Zero finisher for the victory.
