As noted earlier in the week, WWE held a conference call with NXT UK performers earlier today which some suggested was going to produce significant news.
While sources have shot down any reports that WWE will be closing down their NXT UK brand amid multiple allegations against several superstars, today’s call did explicitly state what company expectations are regarding sexual abuse or assault allegations – there is zero tolerance on any charges.
WWE’s overall policy remains that once a talent is formally charged by authorities, they are suspended and if they are convicted or if there is convicting evidence at play, the talent is released.
Most wrestlers who took today’s call likened the message as a bit of a warning, according to f4wonline.com but apart from that there was pretty much no talk about the future of the UK brand or any changes on the horizon, including a return to live events.
