News on How CM Punk’s Return Has Affected Ticket Sales For AEW Collision

The Best in the World” is a big deal in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois.

But what about outside of Chi-Town?

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter at F4WOnline.com, the announcement last Wednesday regarding CM Punk returning on the premiere episode of AEW Collision at the United Center in Chicago, Ill. has helped ticket sales for the show.

However, ticket sales for episodes of AEW Collision outside of Chicago aren’t doing too well.

Meltzer noted that the ticket sales in Toronto aren’t doing great.

“And Punk has been moving tickets in Chicago, but not in the other places, not in Toronto, which is not a good sign because Toronto is one of the greatest markets in North America,” Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio. “They sold out Forbidden Door in a snap of the fingers and then for the Collision show, they’re still under 2000 tickets in the Scotiabank Arena and you know Regina.”

He added, “I was told ahead of time that you know Regina and Saskatoon, which is Saskatoons actually Dynamite, that they were going to be very, very tough because in the summer people in Saskatchewan because they don’t get good weather very much.”
