At AEW’s Double or Nothing PPV Event back in May, then-AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill defended the AEW TBS Championship against Taya Valkyrie and walked out of the match still the reigning champion. After the match, Cargill would issue an Open Challenge for the AEW TBS Title and the challenge was answered by the returning Kris Statlander. Statlander would defeat Cargill to not only dethrone the former AEW TBS Champion and become the new champion, but to also be the first person to end Cargill’s undefeated streak.
Cargill took to her Twitter account immediately following this past May’s AEW Double or Nothing Event and hinted that she liked being out of the professional wrestling bubble. It was even reported at the time that there were no plans for Cargill to return to AEW anytime soon. Cargill recently took to her Twitter and sent out an ominous tweet, revealing that her AEW status is still up in the air.
Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com stated that he hasn’t heard anything in regards to Cargill’s AEW status since this past May and that Cargill is probably the only person who knows what her future holds.
