Nigel McGuinness is back at work for his first NXT UK commentary job since being put on furlough by WWE during the COVID-19 cutbacks earlier this year.
Word came in from the NXT UK television taping on Thursday, September 3rd at BT Sports Studios in London, England that McGuinness was back for the first time since his career was put on hold after the changes made by the company in April.
Digital Spy’s Stephanie Chase and Talk Sport’s Alex McCarthy both tweeted notes about the return of McGuinness at the NXT UK TV taping today.
“Confirmed: Nigel McGuinness will be on commentary when NXT UK returns alongside Andy Shepherd,” wrote Chase. “Nigel will be working remotely from the US #NXTUK.”
McCarthy added, “Andy Shepherd will commentate for NXT UK at these tapings from a booth above the studios and Nigel McGuinness will be alongside him – from America!”
