At the NXT TakeOver: Tampa show on April 4, a number one contender’s ladder match will take place with the winner going on to face whomever is the NXT women’s champion after WrestleMania.
As noted, WrestleMania 36 is already scheduled to feature Rhea Ripley defending her title against Charlotte Flair.
The number one contender match will be a four-way with the competitors to be determined over the next couple of weeks in qualifying matches.
With Ripley wrestling at WrestleMania 36, the NXT women’s championship will not be defended at TakeOver, which takes place only a day before.
