WWE Giving Longer Contracts To Incoming NXT Talents

NXT Superstars Being Offered Longer WWE Contracts

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, talent that is being signed to new contracts with NXT are now getting five-year deals instead of the previous three years for newcomers.

This is likely in an attempt to lock people up for a long time before they can test the free agent market.

The only exception for new wrestlers coming in seems to be for guys like Rey Mysterio – who are already established and have leverage – and are able to come in on shorter 18-month or two or three year contracts.
