NXT TakeOver 31 Injury Updates: Finn Balor Suffers Broken Jaw?, Kyle O’Reilly Breaks Teeth

To say Finn Balor and Kyle O’Reilly are a bit banged up following their epic encounter for the NXT World Championship in the main event of Sunday night’s NXT TakeOver 31 special event would be the understatement of the year.

As we reported earlier during Triple H’s post-NXT TakeOver 31 media conference call, Balor was en route to a local hospital for x-rays on his jaw, and Kyle O’Reilly was currently being evaluated as well.

Since that time, an injury update has been released by WWE.com following the NXT TakeOver 31 special event.

As seen during the original broadcast, both competitors bled from the mouth during the NXT TakeOver 31 main event, which saw Balor retain his NXT World Championship after a grueling back-and-forth contest.

In an update, WWE has announced that O’Reilly suffered several broken teeth during the match with Balor. He is being evaluated for additional injuries.

Additionally, it was announced that Balor is being evaluated for potential facial fractures. He was taken to a local hospital for CAT scans to determine if he suffered any fractures of the face during the match.
