A big match appears set for the upcoming NXT TakeOver: Portland special next month.
During a promo segment on this week’s episode of NXT On USA, it was made official that Finn Balor will be going one-on-one against Johnny Gargano at the February WWE Network live special for the black-and-gold brand, “if he can make it that far.”
Balor told Gargano to speak to NXT General Manager William Regal for more about that, and WWE has yet to officially announce the match, however F4WOnline.com is reporting that it “looks to be set” for the 2/16 show.
NXT TakeOver: Portland, featuring the Balor-Gargano bout, is scheduled to emanate from the Moda Center on Sunday, February 16th.
Also announced for the 2/16 live show is a Rhea Ripley NXT Women’s Title defense against the winner of a Women’s Battle Royal that will take place on next Wednesday night’s episode of NXT On USA.
