As noted, WWE taped their second consecutive night of NXT television tapings on Thursday evening at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. The taping brings the show up to the final “go-home” episode leading into NXT TakeOver: Toronto 2019 in August.
During last night’s taping, two title matches were confirmed for the live WWE Network special on August 10th.
In the co-main event of the 8/10 live special, Shayna Baszler will be defending her NXT Women’s Championship against Mia Yim. In another title match announced at the taping, The Street Profits will be defending their NXT Tag-Team Championships against The Undisputed ERA’s Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish.
In other storylines leading into the NXT TakeOver: Toronto 2019 show, NXT World Champion Adam Cole continued his longstanding rivalry with former champion Johnny Gargano during the TV episodes taped building up to the 8/10 special.
Additionally, the direction for Velveteen Dream’s NXT North American Championship was set. It appears that The Dream will be defending the title in Toronto against Roderick Strong and Pete Dunne in a Triple-Threat Match. This match, however, has yet to be made official by WWE.
