The card for the upcoming milestone NXT TakeOver Thirty live special event scheduled for WWE SummerSlam 2020 pay-per-view weekend in August is already taking shape following this week’s edition of NXT On USA.
As noted, Keith Lee relinquished the NXT North American Championship during a segment on this week’s episode of NXT On USA.
During the weekly WWE NXT broadcast, plans for the vacant North American Title were officially announced.
Bronson Reed won the first of three NXT North American Title Triple-Threat Qualifying matches designed to determine the three challengers who will compete for the vacant title in a NXT North American Championship Triple-Threat Ladder Match that has been announced for next month’s NXT TakeOver special.
Joining Reed will be two additional winners of future qualifying matches in the triple-threat ladder match that will take place on the milestone NXT TakeOver: XXX event scheduled as part of WWE SummerSlam 2020 weekend.
WWE released the following announcement to make NXT TakeOver XXX official for Saturday, August 22, 2020 on the WWE Network.

NXT TakeOver has become one of the most exciting events in sports-entertainment, and the next one is coming your way soon.
NXT TakeOver XXX will take place Saturday, Aug. 22, and stream on the award-winning WWE Network.
The 30th installment of the black-and-gold brand’s banner event promises to be a monumental night. Already confirmed is a Ladder Match to decide the new NXT North American Champion, as announced by NXT General Manager William Regal and Keith Lee, who relinquished the title to create more opportunities for deserving Superstars.
