In what sounds like a pay-per-view worthy card for next week’s WWE NXT, not only will the current NXT Champion Finn Balor defend his title, but the current NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai will also take on Toni Storm in an NXT Women’s Championship Title defense match during the same show set to take place March 10, 2021.

NXT Women’s Title Defense Announced
This week, the commentary team of Beth Phoenix and Vic Joseph, and Wade Barrett discussed the events that took place during last week’s edition of WWE NXT, followed by a video package highlighting next week’s title match set to take place between Shirai and Storm.
Two Weeks Ago
On the February 24, 2021 edition of WWE NXT, the current NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai defeated newcomer Zoey Stark (formerly known as Lacey Ryan) in a non-title single’s match-up. Immediately following Shirai’s victory over Stark, in a show of good sportsmanship, Shirai helped Stark to her feet and the two embraced momentarily. This show of respect was then interrupted by Toni Storm, who made her way to the top of the stage inside the Capitol Wrestling Center.
Storm then proceeded to rant on about how Shirai was scared of her, and only pinned Mercedes Martinez in their recent “Takeover: Vengeance Day” Triple Threat match because Shirai knows she can’t beat Storm.
Shirai allowed the self promotion by Storm continue for a minute until she finally interrupted Storm with a statement that she would fight Storm, any time, any place. NXT General Manager William Regal announced later in the evening that the NXT Women’s Championship Title match was officially taking place two weeks from then, which is March 10, 2021.
Next week is shaping up to be a HUGE edition of #WWENXT!
