— Kairi Sane beat Bayley in a non-title match last night on Raw but is still expected to be leaving WWE as of this week. On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that the original plans (which could still happen next week due to the double taping) was for an injury angle to play out to write out Sane from WWE storylines. Based on the happenings last night, the person who appears to be injuring Sane is Shayna Baszler, who was brought back to TV as a “backup” for this injury angle with the original choice being Natalya. However, Natalya has been off TV for unknown reasons ever since her husband Tyson Kidd reported to WWE that he had a fever and was sick (even though both apparently tested negative for COVID-19). With Natalya still not at TV tapings, it appears Baszler will be replacing Natalya in this spot and moving forward to injure Sane and then end up wrestling Asuka at SummerSlam.
