AEW is scheduled to hold its 2025 WrestleDream pay-per-view event on Saturday, October 18, at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri. Currently, six matches are confirmed for the event. However, one anticipated match may not take place.
According to the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a singles match between Andrade El Idolo and Kenny Omega—initially expected to be the direction for Omega following Andrade’s recent return to AEW, where he attacked Omega—will not occur at WrestleDream next weekend.
The report also indicated that Andrade is scheduled to challenge for the WWC Universal Title on the same night, which is why he won’t be available for the pay-per-view. However, there is a possibility that AEW could pull him from the other event, as they have done with talent in the past, but no decision has been made yet.
