Paul Heyman has the rumor mill buzzing within the pro wrestling community.
The longtime WWE personality and “Special Counsel” for Roman Reigns updated the profile photo on his official Facebook page, which is what fueled the rumors.
The photo shows his former “client,” the man he was the “advocate” for, “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar standing over the aforementioned “Tribal Chief” at WrestleMania 31.
While it could be a simple troll job to internet wrestling fans, or a completely ironic coincidence, the speculation is that “The Evil Genius” is teasing a potential return to the WWE Universe of the former UFC Heavyweight Champion.
It has long been a topic of conversation among wrestling fans what would happen if and when Lesnar returns to WWE, how things would be handled from a storyline perspective with Heyman aligned with Reigns. Most assume these factors lead to a ready-made program between the two top Superstars, with Heyman playing a significant role in the story.
It has even been rumored in recent months that WWE wanted Lesnar to return for a high-profile match at SummerSlam on August 21, 2021, however it is worth noting that as of mid-June, there has been no deal in place for Lesnar to return to the company.
