— WWE officially announced a series of major changes as a result of the fallout from Vince McMahon’s departure from the company. As noted last week, Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan were promoted to full-time, permanent co-CEOs of the company. For Stephanie, this meant the “interim” designation was dropped and for Khan, he was elevated from company President. Paul “Triple H” Levesque was also announced as the new head of WWE’s creative team. This is in addition to his responsibilities as EVP of Talent Relations.
— Dave Meltzer wrote about the changes on his f4wonline.com website and noted that HHH will assume Vince McMahon’s role as having the final say on all matters related to creative. Everything will need to through him or at the least, have his approval. This system would see the continuation of a writing team headed by Bruce Prichard for both brands and he would report directly to Levesque. This structure was already in place at Friday’s Smackdown.
