Pete Dunne Issues Statement After Charity Auction Winner Refuses To Pay

Earlier this week, NXT talent Pete Dunne announced an auction, where the highest bidder would receive the ring gear Dunne used at NXT TakeOver: In Your House. The proceeds from the auction are supposed to benefit Acorns Children’s Hospice, which is in West Midlands UK.

On Thursday, Dunne took to Twitter, where he announced that the winner of the ring gear is a pretty bad Apple. According to Pete, the winner would be contacted shortly after the auction came to a close, and the conversation didn’t go very well. The winner would refuse to pay up, before throwing a jab at “fake” wrestling.

The former NXT UK Champion, as well as NXT Tag Team Champion is now attempting to contact the other bidders, so they can move on to the secondary bid.
