Backstage News On WWE Legend Returning For Match At SummerSlam

Possible *Spoiler* On WWE Hall Of Famer Returning For Match At WWE SummerSlam

It looks like the members of the WWE Universe with tickets to the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Sunday, August 11th should be expecting pure “Stratusfaction.”

Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Trish Stratus is strongly rumored to be returning to action for WWE at next month’s SummerSlam pay-per-view.

According to the report, the WWE Hall Of Famer is expected to return to the squared circle at WWE’s biggest event of the summer, which emanates from Stratus’ hometown of Toronto this year, for a match against a current WWE Superstar.

On WWE SmackDown LIVE on Tuesday night, Charlotte Flair promised to wrestle someone at SummerSlam that would help cement her status as the “greatest female superstar of all-time.”

Additionally, after Tuesday’s WWE SmackDown LIVE broadcast concluded, Charlotte took to social media to post a tweet touting the fact that she is “The Queen” of “ALL ERA’s of Women’s Wrestling.”

The tweet also included the hash-tag, “#SummerSlam.”

It looks like the tweet and her promo on this week’s blue brand show on the USA Network was WWE’s way of kicking off the build to the return of Stratus, with the story line culminating with the two squaring off in a featured match at SummerSlam.

WWE SummerSlam 2019 goes down from Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Sunday, August 11th. The show will air live on traditional pay-per-view, and will also be streamed live via the WWE Network.
