Another championship contest penciled in for this year’s WrestleMania 36 pay-per-view at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL. on Sunday, April 5 has been revealed.
The Kabuki Warriors are scheduled to defend their WWE Women’s tag team titles at WrestleMania this coming April against a tandem consisting of Natalya and WWE Hall Of Fame legend Beth Phoenix.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter at F4WOnline.com suggests that Phoenix’s appearance on Raw this coming Monday (where she is supposed to report on Edge’s condition) will likely lead to an angle that starts the build for this match.
However, the match itself probably can’t be announced until after the 3/9 Elimination Chamber because Asuka and Natalya are both slated to compete there, where they were paired off with one another during the contract signing.
Phoenix’s appearance on Raw could also serve a dual purpose in that it will play into the Edge/Orton storyline, where the former is scheduled to be returning on the March 9 episode.
