Quarterfinals For WWE U.K. Championship Tournament Set

This weekend, the first round matches for this year’s WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament took place, as the quarterfinals are now officially set for the annual tournament.

At the NXT events at the Download Festival in Derby, England this weekend, all of the first round matches took place. As noted, Zack Gibson defeated Amir Jordan, Flash Morgan Webster defeated James Drake, Travis Banks defeated El Ligero and Ashton Smith defeated Joseph Conners to advance.

In new matches held today, Jordan Devlin defeated Tyson T-Bone, Joe Coffey defeated Tucker and Dave Mastiff defeated Kenny Williams. As noted, Jack Gallagher also advanced by defeating Drew Gulak at a set of NXT television tapings last month.

As a result of the aforementioned first round matches, Gibson vs. Gallagher and Webster vs. Devlin are set for the left side of the quarterfinal bracket, while Coffey vs. Mastiff and Banks vs. Smith is set as the right side of the quarterfinal bracket.

The quarterfinals, semifinals and finals of the 2018 WWE U.K. Championship Tournament will take place on June 18th and June 19th at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England. The shows will air on the WWE Network on June 25th and June 26th at 3pm EST. The first round matches will also be made available for free online via WWE’s various social media channels.
