Dave Meltzer (@DaveMeltzerWON) of F4WOnline.com is reporting that one of the main reasons Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida got WrestleMania 36 next year is because of a relationship established with Vince McMahon and WWE regarding the new XFL.
As noted, former NFL Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman was recently named the head coach of the new XFL’s Tampa Bay-based franchise during a press conference held this past Tuesday, just two days prior to the WrestleMania 36 press conference in the city on Thursday.
Additionally, it is known that the NXT TakeOver: Tampa special, the WWE Hall Of Fame Class of 2020 Induction Ceremony, as well as the post-WrestleMania 36 episodes of WWE RAW and WWE SmackDown Live will all emanate from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
The dates for the events, aside from RAW being on a Monday and SmackDown Live likely taking place on a Friday, are not yet official.
