So, why did Vince McMahon re-write the script for this past Tuesday night’s episode of SmackDown LIVE just hours before the broadcast kicked off on the USA Network?
We finally have the answer.
In a follow-up to a previous headline about McMahon completely re-writing Tuesday’s SmackDown LIVE from the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes it was because Vince felt that the original script of the show that was presented to him didn’t do a good job following up on the show from the prior week nor did it effectively build towards the WWE SummerSlam 2019 pay-per-view.
The last minute nature of the show was so significant that McMahon apparently was still re-writing the second hour of the show while the first was being played out live.
