The upcoming WWE Survivor Series PPV will move ahead without any involvement from the NXT brand.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggests that the reason for this is due to two reasons.
The first is that Vince McMahon wants to keep the brands as separate as possible to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
It’s the reason that 205 Live was pulled from its usual Friday taping timeslot as it kept NXT talent away from Smackdown wrestlers in the event there was an outbreak.
The second reason is WWE’s mentality to portray NXT as a brand below that of Raw and Smackdown.
This is apparently the reason that NXT wrestlers were not included in the recent draft and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter implies that NXT losing to AEW Dynamite in the ratings is not a big deal to WWE as long as NXT is pushed as the minor brand.
