The author of “Controversy Creates Cash” is about to start his new gig.
Eric Bischoff arrived in Stamford, Connecticut this past Tuesday night, and was not at the site of this week’s WWE SmackDown Live show — the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts — despite reports to the contrary.
The new WWE Executive Director of SmackDown Live officially begins his new job with the company today, Thursday, July 18th.
The first real show that will be under Bischoff’s direction is expected to be next Tuesday’s SmackDown Live.
The belief is that it will take Bischoff several weeks to get up to speed with the inner-workings of the company and according to one source in WWE, almost everyone — including talent — is basically in a “wait-and-see” mode when it comes to his involvement in terms of how things will ultimately turn out for him.
