Uht-oh. WWE might not be off to a great start in their working relationship with FOX following the recent NXT TV / USA Network deal.
Apparently FOX feels shortchanged after WWE ended up making a deal for NXT TV to move from the WWE Network to the USA Network instead of FOX Sports 1 (FS1).
With WWE deciding to go with USA for their NXT show, it appears their new partner FOX was seemingly convinced that they would be awarded the show to air on FS1.
FOX actually went as far as telling their affiliate stations that they would be getting NXT and while it didn’t turn into a huge deal because there was no public announcement made by the company, there was some “egg on their face” behind closed doors because they had to backtrack to their affiliates, according to Wrestling Observer Radio.
