A couple of big matches appear to be set for WWE’s return to The Garden.
According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, two matches planned for the annual holiday live event at Madison Square Garden in New York in December are Big E. vs. Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship, as well as Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair.
The report noted that it is unclear whether or not Lynch will be defending her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Belair at the show.
Although nothing is set in stone, the fact that Big E. is being advertised to defend the WWE Championship at MSG in over two months could indicate that he will successfully retain the title when he puts it on-the-line against Drew McIntyre — who is soon headed to the SmackDown brand — at this week’s WWE Crown Jewel 2021 special event in Saudi Arabia.
WWE’s annual year-end holiday non-televised live event at Madison Square Garden in New York goes down on December 26, 2021.
