More WWE Releases Expected Soon (12/15/2019)

Report: More WWE Superstars Expected To Be Released Soon

It looks like WWE is just getting warmed up, as more WWE Superstars are expected to be released in the near future.

The releases of Luke Harper, Sin Cara and the Ascension all include full 90-day non-compete clauses that would not only prevent them from wrestling anywhere else until then, but technically no contact with another promotion either.

All the talent released will continue to be paid their downside guarantees until March 8.

Harper’s contract was rumored to be expiring around Christmas and it is believed that will likely draw interest from AEW when his non-compete term ends. [Note: this was reported prior to Sin Cara’s appearance with AAA last night, though it is unclear if his appearance was approved by WWE but on the latest edition of ‘Wrestling Observer Radio’ at F4WOnline.com, it was reiterated that he is on the non-compete.]

The backstage feeling regarding releases is that there are “more coming.”

For a while, WWE wasn’t releasing anyone under any circumstances, then the stance changed that they would let people go who were unhappy, however, still nobody was getting released until the latest group of talent.

It is also interesting to note that out of the recent releases, nobody has ben under 39, except for the former Jordan Myles.
