Report: Several WWE Superstars Pushing To Return To Their Old Theme Music

According to the official Twitter (X) account of WrestleVotes, several WWE stars have been advocating for the return of their original entrance themes, as they have been unhappy with Def Rebel’s versions for quite some time. However, progress on this front has been slow over the past year. Recently, it has been reported that there may be a change in this trend, as some talents received their original themes back during Friday’s SmackDown, which was internationally broadcast from Perth, Western Australia.

The report indicates that many talents in the company have been requesting changes to their entrance music for some time, specifically mentioning Sheamus and Drew McIntyre. A number of requests have been submitted to revert their entrance music, but it’s not yet clear how many of these requests will be granted.

Criticism of Def Rebel and his work peaked in June when a “Fire Def Rebel” chant broke out during an episode of WWE NXT, stemming from dissatisfaction with Jordynne Grace’s new entrance theme. Sheamus has also voiced his frustration about wanting his original theme back, stating in an interview earlier this year that he was “tired of asking” about it.
