— Vince McMahon was not only back at last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw, but he ended up leading the charge creatively which had significant ramifications on both the finished product and backstage morale. On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer also corroborated the earlier reports of McMahon being in charge and running TV, while also stating that things “will be what it was before.”
“He was running TV tonight. He’s back. It’s what it was. It will be what it was before. And if people think that was bad, it will be bad. And that’s just the way it is.”
— Meltzer added that while Paul “HHH” Levesque will remain head of creative by name and do all the “busywork and all of that stuff”, all creative will ultimately flow through Vince and he will have the final say on what makes it onto TV and what doesn’t. As evidenced by last night’s show, Vince made his presence felt through multiple changes – some even when while Raw was already on air.
