It looks like a couple of additional cities have joined Los Angeles in the running to host WrestleMania 37 in 2021.
WrestleMania 37 is still almost two years away from taking place, but it hasn’t stopped speculation on what the site of WWE’s biggest annual event will be.
It has been reported multiple times that Los Angeles metropolitan area is the front-runner with the new stadium in Inglewood being the venue for the event and Mayor James T. Butts Jr. confirmed that his city is one of the finalists for the PPV.
Next year’s show – WrestleMania 36 – will be held in Tampa Bay, FL at the Raymond James Stadium.
“We know the power of the WWE brand,” said Kathy Schloessman, president of the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission. “They have hosted several events here in the past such as Summer Slam, Survivor Series, Raw and SmackDown and we have seen the tremendous impact these events have in the community, both economically and socially. Given our focus on attracting major sporting and entertainment events to Los Angeles, WrestleMania is at the top of our list of events we want here.”
The WrestleVotes account adds that along with Inglewood/Los Angeles, another city is that is up for consideration is Las Vegas, NV with up to two other locations also in the running.
However, they confirm that LA is the current favorite, despite WWE not settling in on an official decision.
Along with Los Angeles being a favorite to host WrestleMania 37, a source tells me Las Vegas is also on the table. The same source states WWE has not made a decision and are considering up to 4 locations as finialists. @ArashMarkazi 1st on the LA tidbit.
