— A couple months ago, a report emerged from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter by Dave Meltzer which noted that the Rock had told WWE that he wouldn’t be able to compete at WrestleMania 41 due to scheduling challenges. Soon after that when asked on social media about the report, The Rock seemed to refute it by posting “don’t believe any of that bullsh*t”, however, a new report from fightfulselect.com paints a similar picture to the original rumor.
— According to Sean Ross Sapp, it is believed that WWE creative is operating under the assumption that the Rock won’t be working WrestleMania, however, as we saw last year when it comes to the Rock, anything is possible at any time. The report added that the Rock’s appearance at Bad Blood in early October was simply to “get him on screen” and there was no major direction or creative plans that were expected to come out of his appearance which is likely why not much has been mentioned of him since nor has there been any furthering of Rock’s involvement in or out of the Bloodline.
— Where Bad Blood was concerned, WWE always knew that the possibility of Rock appearing was there but they didn’t know he would be appearing until just a few days earlier which is why there was a back-and-forth on which match would main event the show and ultimately the company moved the Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk Hell in a Cell bout to open the show so that the Rock’s appearance could end it.
