The talk behind-the-scenes is starting to ramp up once again in the past week or so about The Revival — Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder — looking to get out of their WWE contracts.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Live, Dawson and Wilder put in another formal request some time last week to be released from their contracts with the sports entertainment conglomerate.
As of this writing, reports have not indicated how management responded to the request.
The Revival first asked for their company release one year ago reportedly for being unhappy with their use on the main roster. In that time they received a short runs as tag team champions, and were temporarily partnered with Randy Orton.
Their current deals with the company are scheduled to expire this coming April, with a possible extension for time gone from injury. Wilder and Dawson did recently file for their own trademarks for a possible post-WWE run.
Additionally, soon-after, the team would go on to actually pick out their new tag-team name for a potential post-WWE run in AEW.
WWE offered a deal for close to $500,000 a year but they turned them down.
Neither man competed in last Sunday’s Royal Rumble pay per view from Houston, and have not wrestled on television since their loss to the Usos back on January 17th.
