The Rock Addresses The Daily Star Interview Controversy

The Rock Denies Making Controversial “Snowflake” Comments (Video)

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took to social media on Friday to set the record straight regarding some fabricated controversial quotes that have been making the media rounds like wildfire.

The Daily Star out of the United Kingdom posted what they claimed was an “EXCLUSIVE” interview with the former WWE Superstar turned Hollywood A-list movie star where he made some comments that many were offended by. The Rock took to Twitter and Instagram on Friday to deny ever saying what he was quoted to have said in the interview.

“But generation snowflake or, whatever you want to call them, are actually putting us backwards,” is the comment that The Rock reportedly made in the interview titled, “EXCLUSIVE: The Rock slams snowflakes as ‘looking for reasons to be offended,'” that was published by Jack Andrews on The Daily Star website.

In fact, despite The Rock coming out and claiming the interview is fake, the interview is still published on the aforementioned U.K.-based website. (Check it out here).

Following the attention the comments received, The Rock took to social media to deny making the statement that was published as part of the interview.

“Settin’ the record straight,” wrote The Rock in the full post on his official Instagram page (see below). “The interview never happened. Never said those words. 100% false.”

The Rock continued, “If I ever had an issue with someone, a group, community or a generation — I’d seek them out, create dialogue and do my best to understand them. Criticizing ain’t my style. I don’t cast stones and we all get to be who we are. #millies #plurals #boomers #TequilaGeneration.”
