Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been going back-and-forth with members of The Hurt Business on social media this week.
After the WWE Championship victory by Bobby Lashley this past week on WWE Monday Night Raw, a fan took to Twitter to post a cool portrait of a young child holding a replica WWE Championship while looking at a mural painting of The Rock, Lashley and Kofi Kingston all posing with their WWE Championships.
This led to some comments that ended up seeing MVP of The Hurt Business chime in, which prompted the WWE legend turned Hollywood star to comment and offer some high-praise for Lashley and the faction, which has been compared to The Nation Of Domination group that began the ascension of The Rock through the ranks in WWE during his active wrestling career.
“You guys are doing GREAT,” wrote The Rock. “Very happy for all of you. Very proud, too. Representing.”
MVP replied with a “pound it” emoji, and then Lashley took to his Twitter to respond to The Rock’s comments, offering signs of mutual respect.
“You and so many others paved the way for us to do what we do,” wrote Lashley. “Without ‘The Great One,’ there might not be an ‘All Mighty.'”
This brought “The Great One” back to his Twitter feed to post another response.
“Appreciate the kind words brother,” he wrote. “Very happy for you and proud.”
The Rock continued, referencing the infamous “Brass Ring” speech delivered by Vince McMahon on the inaugural episode of the “Stone Cold Podcast” back in 2014.
“Grab that brass ring and go for it all,” he added. “You know what to do, champ. Represent.”
