The Rock Names WWE's 3 Top "G.O.A.T.'s"

The Rock Reveals Who He Feels Are Top 3 “G.O.A.T.’s” In WWE History

If you ask Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who the top three “G.O.A.T.’s” in WWE history are, he’ll give you three names.

And he isn’t one of them.

The Hollywood big-shot and future WWE Hall Of Famer took to social media to post about the 17th anniversary of his “ICON vs. ICON” bout at WrestleMania 18 against Hulk Hogan. In the post, “The Great One” named who he feels are the three “greatest ones” of all-time when it comes to World Wrestling Entertainment.

“Torch passed,” wrote The Rock on his official Instagram page on Monday in a post that included video highlights of the aforementioned “ICON vs. ICON” WrestleMania X8 showdown. “Grateful.
This past weekend [WWE] celebrated the 17th anniversary of what was billed as “ICON vs ICON” to determine who would go down in [WWE] history as THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME. It was yours truly, VS The Immortal Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania.”

The Rock continued, “What made this match so special was that there was no Heavyweight Championship on the line. Just two men. Just two careers. And 85,000+ of the most insane ELECTRIC crowd I have ever had the privilege to perform in front of. It was almost as if every single person that night in the Toronto SkyDome made up their mind that they would give every ounce of energy they had because they knew this match was only going to be seen once in a lifetime.”

He would go on to talk about Hogan being his childhood hero before naming “The Hulkster,” along with “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin as the three true “G.O.A.T.’s” in pro wrestling history.

“My friend and childhood hero, Hulk Hogan passed the torch to me on this historic night which decreed me becoming “THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME”, but the truth is – to me – the GOAT are the three men below who paved the way for me and so many others in pro wrestling — [Hulk Hogan], [Ric Flair] and [Steve Austin]. I just worked very hard, connected with the audience and caught a break. These GOATS were good enough to recognize I had something to offer and graciously passed the torch.”

The Rock concluded, “Grateful.”
