Roman Reigns is ready to take back his seat at “The Head of the Table.”
On Thursday morning, WWE announced that “The Tribal Chief” has been medically cleared to return.
As noted, Reigns was pulled from the inaugural WWE Day 1 pay-per-view just hours before the event went live on-the-air last Sunday night.
Reigns, who was originally set to defend his WWE Universal Championship in the main event of the first-ever WWE Day 1 special event, was removed from the show after testing positive for COVID-19. As a result, his scheduled opponent, Brock Lesnar, was moved to the Fatal-4-Way title match, which he ended up winning to capture the WWE Championship.
Now, the leader of The Bloodline is ready to return, and WWE is already promoting an “explosive confrontation” between the two champions when the first episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown on FOX of the New Year goes down this week.
WWE.com released the following announcement confirming Roman Reigns for Friday Night SmackDown on FOX on January 7, 2022:
Roman Reigns medically cleared to return to SmackDown tomorrow night
