Roman Reigns Not Expected at WWE Extreme Rules; News On His Next PPV & Opponent

– After defeating Drew McIntyre at the recent Clash of the Castle, undisputed WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns is not scheduled for the next PPV, Extreme Rules on October 8 in Philadelphia. It is believed that his next major match will be in November at the show in Saudi Arabia though it’s not quite apparent who his opponent will be.

– The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Reigns’ next opponent is not scheduled to be either Seth Rollins or Kevin Owens even though both of them have teased a storyline/match. While Reigns/Rollins or Reigns/Owens will happen at some point, the report speculates that the likely challenger at the Saudi event will probably be McIntyre again or Karrion Kross. The only other possibilities would be Goldberg again or Brock Lesnar, the latter one a match they have “done to death.”
