Roman Reigns Statement On Testing Positive COVID-19 Before WWE Day 1 Started

Roman Reigns has made his first public comments since being pulled from the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view.

As noted, “The Tribal Chief” has been pulled from tonight’s special event from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia as a result of testing positive for COVID-19.

With Reigns off the card, his originally scheduled opponent Brock Lesnar has been moved to the WWE Championship match, which now makes it a Fatal-5-Way showdown with Big E. defending against “The Beast Incarnate,” as well as Bobby Lashley, Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins.

Regarding his positive test for COVID-19 and being pulled from tonight’s WWE Day 1 show, “The Head of the Table” took to social media to comment on the situation.

“I yearn to perform tonight at WWE Day 1 to defend my Universal Championship,” wrote Reigns via his official Twitter page. “However, unfortunately, earlier today I tested positive for COVID-19.”

Reigns continued, “Due to the proper protocols I am unable to compete as originally scheduled. I look forward to returning to action as soon as possible.”
