During the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view broadcast on Sunday night, WWE made it official that they are returning to Saudi Arabia for the next PPV/live event special on February 27th.
The special event will once again be called WWE Super ShowDown 2020 and is scheduled to air at Noon Eastern Time from the city of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.
WWE’s first event ever in Saudi Arabia took place in April of 2018 and was called WWE Greatest Royal Rumble. Since then, the names WWE Crown Jewel and WWE Super ShowDown have rotated when WWE promotes events in the region.
Next month’s show marks the fifth installment in what is a ten-year deal between WWE and the Saudi Sports Authority.
WWE reported an attendance of 42,715 fans for their announced figure on the broadcast during Sunday’s WWE Royal Rumble 2020 PPV.
Predictably, and as WWE likes to announce, the show set a new record for the Minute Maid Park venue in Houston, Texas. The show narrowly beat out the previous record held by a Taylor Swift concert.
