“The Spanish God” of AEW World Champion Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle recently released a photo of himself with a former member of Universal Champion “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt’s former Wyatt Family in WWE this weekend.
Sammy Guevera posted a picture on Saturday that shows himself and Luke Harper wearing custom hockey jerseys while at a game for the Corpus Christi Ice Rays hockey team.
Whether the two are “taking the piss” out of the pro wrestling world, or teasing a potential upcoming AEW debut of Harper remains to be seen.
As noted, Harper was recently released from WWE and is currently sitting out the remainder of the “non-compete clause” in his contract with the company.
For what it’s worth, on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio at F4WOnline.com, a discussion took place about this very subject, and it was stated that it’s been believed for a long time that Harper would end up in AEW.
Back in the spring of 2019, Harper was basically “buried” by Vince McMahon who just “didn’t see it in him”, causing Harper to be under-utilized. It was also noted that one source backstage said that leaving WWE was the right move and that he needed to leave.
