“The Spanish God” will be heading into the New Year without a championship.
Following his TNT Championship loss to Cody Rhodes at the AEW Rampage: Holiday Bash special event on Christmas night this past Saturday evening, Sammy Guevara surfaced on social media to comment on losing the title.
The former TNT title-holder took to his Twitter page on Sunday to comment on dropping the title to “The American Nightmare” on the special Holiday Bash-themed edition of the weekly Rampage on TNT program.
“What a beautiful life, 11 years of Blood, Sweat [and] Scars got me here,” wrote Guevara. “The ups and the downs, I wouldn’t change a thing.”
Guevara added, “It wasn’t my night but it doesn’t mean tomorrow won’t be. The journey continues.”
