The NXT Cruiserweight Champion is showing respect to his fellow peers on the purple brand in WWE.
The leader of Legado Del Fantasma and the reigning title-holder of WWE’s Cruiserweight division, Santos Escobar, took to social media on Sunday to share a behind-the-scenes photo of the recent WWE 205 Live crew.
Escobar posted the photo on his official Twitter feed on Sunday afternoon along with a caption that was keeping with his on-air heel persona, however a touch out-of-character in the sense that he gave a legitimate compliment to his peers on the WWE 205 Live roster.
“CRAZY talented division,” wrote Escobar in the caption that accompanied the backstage photo from the set of a recent WWE 205 Live television taping. “And I am the Emporer. #LegadoDelFantasma.”
The photo, which you can view below, features a handful of the Cruiserweights that have appeared regularly on the WWE 205 Live shows since the global pandemic hit and briefly led to the show going on hiatus before returning at a reduced weekly time-length on the WWE Network following the Friday Night SmackDown broadcast of WWE on FOX.
Pictured in the photo are NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar and his fellow Legado Del Fantasma members Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza, as well as Oney Lorcan, Danny Burch, Ashante “Thee” Adonis, The Brian Kendrick, Ever-Rise (Chase Parker & Matt Martel) and color-commentator for the weekly WWE Network broadcasts, Drew Gulak.
