Saraya Jade-Bevis (known in AEW as Saraya and in WWE as Paige) is currently inactive and taking a break from wrestling but spoke to the Orlando Sentinel recently on a variety of topics.
With WWE set to hold the all-women Evolution premium live event and Saraya being a pioneer of the women’s division in WWE, one of the top questions asked of her is if she will be returning to the company to participate in the event. While nobody would expect her to reveal publicly if she was planned for the show, the former multi-time champion was empathetic in stating that she has had no talks with WWE about a return:
“I haven’t had a conversation with them. I know, I always get tagged in everything, as soon as there’s a mystery going around, they’re like, ‘Hey, she’s coming back.’ But no. I love the WWE, but no.”
“It feels good to take a little break from wrestling and then see the outpouring of love from people saying they want me back. I just want to get my feet wet outside of wrestling for a little bit and take care of myself this year. It’s consumed me my whole life. All 32 years of my life has been wrestling, so I just want to find myself a little bit outside it and next year, maybe come back.”
After parting ways with AEW recently, Saraya has started a new podcast called “Rulebreakers” while releasing a new memoir called “Hell in Boots” which covers the best and worst of times of her life and wrestling career.
