Sean Waltman Talks WWE Hall Of Fame Induction Of nWo On X Pac 1

Sean Waltman Reveals Who He Feels Belongs In WWE Hall Of Fame, How He Learned About nWo Induction (Video)

During his latest X-Pac 1,2,360 podcast, Sean “X-Pac” Waltman revealed how he found out that he is going to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame for a second time as part of the New World Order (nWo) faction, when the group goes in as part of the WWE Hall Of Fame Class of 2020 Inductees.

“About three weeks ago I got a call from Mark Carano,” Waltman started, when discussing how he learned that he would be going into the WWE Hall Of Fame as part of another legendary wrestling faction, after already getting inducted as part of D-Generation X (DX).

“He’s the Head of Talent Relations at WWE,” he added. “Just out of default, when you see that number come up, in the past it’s always been usually not for a good cause. A lot of times it’s because you did something.”

He went on to admit that he almost didn’t answer the phone, but pointed out that he is glad he did.

“[Carano]’s like, ‘Hey pal, you’re going in the Hall of Fame again.’ That’s a lot. Just one, just being inducted in the Hall of Fame in general. Twice is huge,” said Waltman. “Back-to-back years is ridiculous.”

The WWE Hall Of Fame 2020 Induction Ceremony is scheduled to take place in Tampa, Florida next April as part of WrestleMania 36 Weekend. According to Waltman, the fact that Tampa will be hosting the big weekend festivities next year makes it even more special for him and his fellow nWo buddies.

“Scott started there. Hulk started there. I started there,” Waltman revealed. “Kev didn’t. He started in Atlanta. So for us, it’s really special. My family lives there, too. That’s where my mom, my sister, my nephews, other miscellaneous relatives live.”

As the show went on, Waltman discussed whether or not he has a desire to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame as a singles competitor.

“I have no desire whatsoever to stand up on that stage by myself and be inducted as a single,” he said. “To be a part of something bigger and greater than yourself is just an amazing feeling to me, and I don’t need that. I don’t need the me, me, me, what about me? I got plenty of me. I’m just happy to be a part of something greater than me.”

Waltman noted that he is already working on his speech for the WWE Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony, as he realized after his induction as part of DX that he forgot to mention a lot of people who helped him throughout his career.

“Last year, I was incredibly nervous and I don’t like talking in public anyways, so there were people that I forgot to thank that I wanted to,” said Waltman. “Phyllis Lee. She helped me get into wrestling. My former partner, Kane, who’s the mayor of Knox County, Tennessee now. I really wanted to thank him and I felt so bad afterwards. Meant a lot to me when I teamed with him. Couldn’t ask for a better guy to be partners with.”

Also during the podcast, Waltman revealed the three wrestlers that aren’t currently part of the WWE Hall Of Fame that he feels belongs.

“Here are the people I feel should be in the Hall of Fame this year: Christian, for sure, [as a] former WWE World Champion it’s crazy to me that he’s not in,” Waltman said. “William Regal. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, I think this is the year for him and if not, [then] soon.”

Waltman concluded by picking a longtime friend and former WWE tag-team partner of his for his third and final selection.

“And Kane,” said Waltman.
