It was said that there is “no movement to get him back into power” and that he’s “just a performer.” There is also no update on his health following surgery, but they just haven’t decided to bring him back which could be related to Paige doing a fine job as Smackdown GM without another authority figure around.

— Dean Ambrose was originally expected to be back by late summer and with it being mid-summer, he is due back any time now. He is recovering from triceps surgery that took place in December and was said to be dealing with a nine-month recovery period.
