Earlier this week, WWE Raw Superstar Sheamus spoke to Vicente Beltran, and provided an updated on his injury status.
The current WWE United States Champion recently suffered a broken nose, during his title defense against Humberto Carrillo. Sheamus spoke about the recovery form his tough break, and told Vicente:
“I’m doing okay, getting better, you know, there was a lot of damage done to the outside and inside [of my nose]… I cracked my septum, and there’s like fractures and breaks on the outside. It was actually more painful getting the nose put back together than it was getting it broken. Just more annoying. But yeah I’m on the mend… Nothing stops me. I don’t like to sit at home and I don’t like to make excuses for not being out there when I can be.”
“The Celtic Warrior” has won multiple Championships during his time with WWE, but he’s yet to claim the company’s top mid-card title. When speaking about his goal to win the Intercontinental Championship, Sheamus stated:
“I’m always thinking about that… That’s part of looking forward, that’s definitely still in my target range, you know what I mean? I was on SmackDown, and obviously that title’s on smackdown so there’s nothing I can do about it right now… But I’m sure there will come when I get an opportunity at it, and that’s when I’ll try to get that in and become an Ultimate Grand Slam Champion, the only ever Ultimate Grand Slam Champion.”
